How we select contractors
- Your business is real: CIPC registration, or ID and address for sole traders
- Recent completed jobs in your trade, with photos
- A sample itemised quote, and deposits that don't exceed materials
- Registered electricians, plumbers and gas installers for certified work
- Two references from clients in the last 12 months
- A short conversation about callback times and how you work
During your free enquiries we check that each one gets a prompt callback. That keeps the standard high for everyone in the network.
Questions contractors ask
Is it exclusive?
Yes. Each area of each trade goes to one contractor. While you're subscribed, every enquiry from your area comes to you and nobody else.
How many enquiries will I get?
We can't promise a number: it changes with the season and the month. On the 1st of each month you get a summary of how many enquiries came in and your average callback time, so you can judge the value yourself.
What does it cost?
A flat monthly fee from R2,500, depending on the trade and area, paid in advance. No per-lead charges and no hidden extras.
How does the free start work?
When an opening comes up and you've been selected, your first 5 enquiries for your trade and area cost nothing, so you can see the quality before you pay. An enquiry is a homeowner asking about your trade in your area, by WhatsApp, call or form. It counts whatever the outcome: if they decide not to go ahead, find the quote too high, or you choose not to take the job. Only spam, repeat enquiries from the same person, other trades or areas, sales calls and job seekers don't count. After the 5th enquiry, your first monthly fee is due before more are passed on. There's no obligation to continue.
Is there a contract?
No. There's a one-page set of rules you accept by paying. Stop paying and the enquiries go to the next contractor; either side can end it at any time.
What do you expect from me?
Call enquiries back within the window we agree, give written itemised quotes, take reasonable staged payments, and treat homeowners well. Repeated missed callbacks or upheld complaints mean the enquiries move on.
Who is responsible for the work and getting paid?
You are, entirely: your quote, workmanship, comebacks and guarantees, certificates of compliance, insurance, and collecting payment from the homeowner. We don't collect payments, chase debts or take part in disputes, and fees aren't refunded when an enquiry doesn't become a job. Whose are the leads?
Enquiries delivered to you are yours to work, including after you stop. You may use homeowners' details only for that enquiry, as POPIA requires.
